Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama Capsule Bag Collection

This summer the first part of the Yayoi Kusama for Louis Vuitton Collection has launched, consisting of clothing and small accessories, including jewelry, a watch and more. Now the French luxury brand is getting ready to launch the second part of this exciting collaboration. As you might have noticed, so far, the core product that Vuitton is known for has not appeared yet – the bag. That is about to change. In September an entire Yayoi Kusama for Louis Vuitton Bag Collection will launch, featuring Vuitton icons, duffle bags, evening bags and also some specials that you will not find in the main line. Kusama’s dot designs are mixed with the iconic Louis Vuitton monogram design.

The Yayoi Kusama for Louis Vuitton Bag Collection will launch on September 14th, 2012, at Louis Vuitton stores, with an exclusive pre-sale starting on September 1st at the French brand’s Ginza Tokyo store.

Billionaire Boys Club “Bee Line” 2012 Fall/Winter Collection

The inspired pairing of post-trad cobbler/clothing designer Mark McNairy and Pharrell Williams was born of a shared preppy streetwear aesthetic and collective disdain for boundaries. Much buzzed-about in recent months, Bee Line for Billionaire Boys Club has released the lookbook for its inaugural fall/winter collection of domestically-manufactured, refined streetwear. The genre-bending duo’s touches are both distinct and harmonious, not an easy task considering the fastidious personalities of both collaborators. McNairy’s New Amsterdam hallmarks are present — fun shirts, camouflage, brightly-accented anoraks, and tailored fits — while Pharrell’s signature purple accents peek out from tweed puffer vests and BBC logos grace the fronts of sweatshirts. Among the standouts is the work of a third party — Seattle’s Cresecent Down Works — on an array of outerwear, gold and silver-sleeved varsities inspired by metallic factory floor scraps and a range of “B”-logo caps. Look for the collection to release on August 31 at the Billionaire Boy’s Club Tokyo location and later on at selected stockists worldwide

FACETASM 2012 Fall/Winter New Releases

FACETASM‘s 2012 fall/winter collection was an innovative blend of patterns, fabrics and proportions, lending the genre of streetwear a decidedly high fashion bent. A protege of both UNDERCOVER and COMME DES GARCONS, Hiromichi Ochiai designs his garments with dreams “about the future,” yet simultaneously steeps his collections in tradition. The new offerings are inspired by the “things that surround us and live inside us,” in this case translating to layered looks showcasing leopard prints, tartans, and shearling, while traditional materials and patterns like herringbone are imbued with fresh cuts and silhouettes. In an array of big tees, sweaters, outerwear and woven shirts, FACETASM offers a textural and stylistic feast for the senses. Selected pieces from the Fall/Winter 2012 collection will be hitting our online store today and tomorrow.

Sony Action Cam

Dropping the viewer squarely in the driver’s seat, the GoPro HD Hero, and its successor the Hero2 have been the de facto standard for high-octane, action sports photography for several seasons now, but that could all change with the advent of the new Sony Action Cam. The sleek and highly portable camera body is fitted with an Exmor R BSI CMOS 16-megapixel sensor and a Bionz processor unit, in addition to exceptional image stabilization and superior optical quality of a Carl Zeiss lens. Many of the features that have made the GoPro the go-to camera are also present on Sony’s Action Cam, like 1080p high definition at 30 frames per second, as well as 720 at an impressive 120fps for those epic slow-motion shots. Unique to this camera, however, are increased storage options (microSD or Sony Memory Stick compatible), along with a Micro-HDMI output so you can take the footage straight to your television. Additionally, the WiFi-equipped version of the camera (which adds around $70 USD to the price tag) can pair with select smartphones to transmit footage or act as a remote viewfinder, similar to the Contour+ camera already on the market. Luckily you won’t have to wait long, the $200 USD camera and a wide variety of mounts are slated to ship starting around the middle of September, so hurry and get your pre-order in now.
